This month, I am slightly ashamed to admit, I have probably watched over 15 Hallmark Christmas movies and loved pretty much all of them. At this point, I can guess the plot, and pinpoint reoccurring themes like: a gingerbread house is made, there is a tree lighting ceremony, cookies are baked, trees are decorated, it snows, a man and woman fall in love. Half the time, one of the protagonists is from the city, or a small town person and moved to the city, and falls in love with the small town again. Somewhere
This holiday season has been a fairly productive one, though not exactly in the way I had hoped. To me, a truly productive holiday season is one spent running around with family, baking goodies, and quite simply preparing for Christmas. Instead, it has been work, work, and yes…more work. Christmas is upon us and I am ready!
I’m ready to make my way to a particular store with a specific gift in mind. Once at the store, I will make my way to the aisle where it is located, find it and pick it up. Then, I will walk over to the line for the cashiers, pay and happily return home knowing how delighted the gift recipient will be when they open it.
